The challenge

SuperScale is a B2B tech company that helps mobile game developers maximise the profitability of their titles. For some time, they’d struggled to package their proposition and land the partnerships critical to their success.

 

The approach

Hired to lead a complete rebrand, I worked closely with stakeholders, team members, freelancers and third parties to deliver a new identity and focused messaging for the Bratislava, UK and US-based business.

 

This included

  • Conducting interviews and understanding the complexities of the business

  • Assessing competitors, market trends and out-of-category comparables

  • Finding and onboarding specialist freelancers to build out the brand team

  • Liaising with leadership and guiding designers through brand development

  • Working with the web agency, PR and internal teams on rollout and launch

 

 On this project, I was working at every level, from brand strategy and concept development to hands-on copywriter. This included travelling to Slovakia several times and building strong relationships with the tech-centric team.

 

The results

The brand rollout was delivered on time, ready for gamescom, one of the highlights of the gaming calendar. Our bold, emotive identity, delivering the concept of ‘scaling up’ within a gaming and tech idiom, was a huge success.

Key stats

  • Sales cycle cut by over 50%, from an average of 6 months to 2–3 months

  • Qualified inbound leads for the first time

  • Closed Series A funding round worth over $5m
